Well the weather didn't work in our favor last week... at least half way through the night it didn't. Here are the scores from the two games that we did play. Congrats to 50 Shades of Bengay and Loko 4 Fireball on their victories!
This week we are still on for the games. It will also be the last week of regular season kickball games..... which means playoffs are right around the corner!! There is supposed to be a high chance of rain Thursday night but not too sure yet if that will stay true. I will know for sure the status around 3pm tomorrow! Since two of the games were cancelled last week, we will be making up for them tomorrow night. I have had to adjust the schedule to make sure that the four teams that need double headers get all of their games in. All teams that have double headers have their games back to back and possibly have to ref before their two games or after. The looks to be rainy tomorrow... but I will know for sure what the status of the fields will be by 3pm and let you know! If we do have a rainout, we will postpone all of this to next Thursday night!
Please remember that it is important if your team is reffing to pay attention and be firm/confident with your calls. The refs at the first base and third base line are very important to the games and one call that you miss/don't see... could be a big momentum changer in some games. Just make sure that you are all focused on the game if you are ref because that is your responsibility at that time... and not to socialize with you teammates or look off into space!
Lastly, after the games please try to go to the BAR to take part in the specials and socialize with your fellow league-mates. They have been really supportive and a great host to us for the season, so I want to show that support back to them! I am still trying to work out some details for next season so I should have all of that figured out early next week so you can pass the word around! Lets have another great week of games!
